Highly diverse company. A big issue my company has is junior (<30 years old) staff retention.

We have a female business leader, however our sector is male dominated and there is still clear preference for white males in senior roles

Unsure if the company focuses on hiring with the aim of increasing the diversity in the workplace. Not that many women engineers in the company currently

Cardno upholds these values very strongly. We have one of the best maternity leaves in the industry, the hiring process is very diverse also.

I can't really say much, but I think Cardno are very committed to diversity in all senses, whether that be in employment opportunities or awareness raising. Recently we have had a few female engineers taken on board, and I know that we have a few people who are a part of the LGBT community. There is a wide range of ethnicity in the office too. Child care and maternity/paternity leave are definitely promoted and encouraged, as one of the recently appointed Business Unit Managers took 4 months of paternity leave off.

A very diverse company in terms of gender and ethnicity

There is a lack of women in our industry. But Cardno is doing plenty in this space to rid society of this sentiment.

Good. Skill wise I think we may need to do better with retention. The last few years have been turbulent and we've lost good people.

It appears that Cardno has a lot of formal processes and programs aimed at diversity that look great, however I don't feel that it always translates to the office culture. My BU management has been very supportive in fostering inclusion and diversity.
Graduate, Newcastle
My team is quite diverse as we have different people from different backgrounds as well as different genders.
