My local office has provided me the best training I could have asked for in multiple engineering fields as part of a team rotation, the company itself also runs a training program but it is quite minimal.

Early on in my career I attended a 12d training course which proved to be very good.

Both informal and formal is quite good, isn't as structured as I would like but they get grads to mentor and teach as well with helps with their development also

Cardno have recently improved their Graduate Development Program, which has been consistent in providing areas of learning, webinars and tools to help out. Unfortunately, this year the GDP has been almost entirely online, and our Graduate Summit in Manly this year is looking unlikely to go ahead, however we have had monthly catch ups and learning opportunities. Generally the webinars have been informative, however I personally don't believe I've learnt anything new. I prefer to learn from projects and doing reports, reviews and creating advice for clients, which is always available and more consistent.

The training programs are good for health and safety as well as the company values and other important things including professional integrity.

Graduate program training has taught me a lot about how to develop as a professional as well as a young person new to a full-time engineering role

Team is constantly sharing training programmes. The graduate program also works to build professional skills.

Learning on the job. Training modules online mean well but with no task objective that is related to work it's very hard to learn with it.
Graduate, Brisbane
There are none. When they do training, they are never catered towards the team and the fact that our team works outdoors.

I have participated in the grad program, Cardno university modules, multiple webinars, and sponsored training events. Management has been very supportive of training and I have improved my GIS capabilities, my report writing and my management abilities.
Graduate, Newcastle
Cardno offers excellent monthly graduate programs that informs and educates graduates on the inner workers of the corporations. I hope the same could be implemented on the team level
Graduate, Brisbane
The grad program and training needs a lot of work as there is much of a base especially on the day to day work and I feel like I could have learnt a lot more if there was a bit more emphasis on learning on a day to day basis.
Graduate, Melbourne
It's a work in progress but covid has made it difficult with face to face
