Learning Links Graduate Programs & Internships

  • Education & Training

Learning Links was established in 1972 by parents concerned about the lack of appropriate education and support services to meet their children's needs.

Today, our focus is on preventing learning difficulties from causing disadvantages.

Learning Links works in collaboration with schools, early childhood settings and parents to help children with learning disabilities and difficulties.

These include conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, fine and gross motor delays and speech and language delays. The children are often anxious, have trouble communicating and interacting with others, and many have behavioral issues. In the later years, they are often challenged in literacy, numeracy and impacting their ability to complete education and participate in the community.

Early intervention for young children who experience developmental delays is critical to mitigating the risk of poor educational outcomes later in life. Learning Links is recognised as a pioneer in the area of inclusive early childhood education. At our inclusive preschool, children of all abilities learn side by side, maximising their learning abilities and wellbeing as they progress to primary school.

When you work at Learning Links you're part of a family of dedicated and passionate staff, working hard to help children who are struggling to learn. We have some excellent benefits as part of joining the Learning Links team - including access to professional supervision; professional development delivered by experts in the field; opportunities for career progression; and flexible work arrangements that suit your family.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The team and how welcoming they are very supportive, flexible and friendly. There is genuine care for the well-being of employees. Many resources are available and there is great support for developing the knowledge and skills of employees through weekly supervision from highly experienced speech pathologists, internal and external professional development opportunities, etc.
  • Everyone is so welcoming and there is some great supervision offered which makes me feel supported.
  • Lots of support Lots of opportunity to learn Great environment - no toxicity between staff Always room to grow Lots of up to date resources Great structured systems in place make it easier to follow
  • Moving around to different clinics
  • Maybe finishing later than usual business hours on clinical days, however, this isn't too bad when there are other speech pathologists/colleagues working with you at the same time. Also, this is probably essential and common with many speech pathology companies due to our work with school-aged students.
  • I honestly can not think of anything bad about the company. I'm slowly learning to adjust to the systems in place and becoming better at time management and paperwork.
