We now have an outstanding opportunity for an Associate Systems Engineer to join our team.  In this role you will:

  • Be exposed to a wide range of technologies and processes from NEC Unified Communications, ITIL based process including incident, problem, change, configuration, capacity and knowledge management.
  • Be part of a dynamic team of highly skilled engineers that will enhance your knowledge and learning in those areas.

The role is based in our Forest Hill location and will involve office based remote support during business hours with possible opportunities for some interstate and overseas travel.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide a high level of Product evaluation and Technical support for Enterprise Telephone Systems, Cloud Telephony, Session Border Controllers, SIP Mobility Clients, WiFi Products, IP Dect and other software applications.
  • Product Evaluation and Support for third party vendor integration.
  • Pre-Sales Consultation for Customer Presentation and Technical Briefings.
  • To research and recommend future product enhancements to design and development teams.
  • Resolution of escalated technical faults in conjunction with support for Channel Partners.
  • Perform lab simulations and provide test reports on system defects identified from this testing.
  • Create and release high quality technical documentation including engineering specifications to field staff and training staff.
  • Provide on-site support to Contractor/Channel and NECARE staff to assist with identification and resolution of complex enterprise voice solutions.
  • Provide technical support to Network/Product managers/Channel Account Manager/Channel Partners and Sales Engineers for UC Solutions.
  • Provide specialised level 3 technical support to other resources within the NOC/TAC teams as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualified: Bachelor or Degree in Telecommunications/ Electronic / Computer / IT Engineering
  • Entry level/Graduate or 1-2 years' experience in Data Networking/IP Telephony/VMware
  • CCNA/CCNP Voice certified
  • Good understanding in all aspects of Voice and Data Communications.
  • Good Knowledge of Unified Communications, SIP and IP Telephony
  • Knowledge of Next Generation Technology Device's.
  • Understanding of VMware, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ambitious, hardworking, self-motivated, goal oriented, team player and enthusiastic.
