Our paid internship program will give you the opportunity to put into practice what you have been learning throughout your studies and gain invaluable experience in the defence and security industry.

The program runs for up to 12 weeks over the December to February period (including the end-of-year shutdown period which occurs from 20 December 2024 – 6 January 2025 inclusive). 

During this placement, you will work alongside our expert engineers gaining experience on real-life projects and case studies. You will learn from colleagues who are specialists in their field and develop your skills and knowledge further.

About you:

To be eligible for the Saab Australia Internship Program, you will need to meet the following criteria: 

  • You will be in your penultimate year or have completed at least 3 years of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • You will be an Australian citizen and able to meet defence industry security requirements

We are seeking bachelor's degree specialisations in the below disciplines (or similar): 

  • Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology
  • Physics/Mathematics
  • Computer Systems/Network Engineering
  • Aerospace/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering
