The Department is committed to supporting and removing career barriers for culturally, linguistically, racially and religiously diverse staff.

The Department is committed to supporting and removing career barriers for culturally, linguistically, racially and religiously diverse staff.

The Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CALD) Network in the department provides professional and social networking for these staff as well as day to day support, resources, and advocacy on their behalves. The CALD Network is open for all staff of any background to join. 

The Network is managed by a Senior Executive Champion and co-chairs who organise events and activities, provide support and resources for staff, and strategically advocate for diversity and inclusion within the department and across the Australian Public Service. There are opportunities for all staff to get involved – the Network has event and activity coordination roles as ongoing policy and data work.
