Recruitment Process

Applications are open throughout the year. Peak The process will differ depending on the exact position and time of the year the application is received. Peak application season runs from November to April.

1. Apply. The first step is to apply. We are a large employer with over 4000 employees and a centralized recruitment team based in Shanghai. Your application will be directed to one of our dedicated recruitment team members for review. Our websites always have the current vacancies listed too. If the position you are interested in does not appear, you are welcome to email a copy of your CV to the email address listed.

Remember:

  • CV - keep it relevant and concise. Make sure it is clear with full work end education history listed. Any gap should be explained, for example, unemployment or extended travel. List your current contact details.
  • Cover letter – this is your opportunity to tell us why you want to join us and why you think you are a great fit. Tell us more about you, your non-academic achievements and interests.
  • The file name should stand out. For example, ‘NAME – CV’.
  • PDF and Word files are strongly preferred.

2. Reply. If shortlisted, one of our central recruitment team will reach out and try and schedule a call. Our staff will ask some basic questions about availability and visa eligibility. This is also your opportunity to ask any burning questions and learn more about Dipont. If you are not shortlisted and contacted by a team member, you may be placed on hold for later availabilities.

3. Interview. The next step is an interview with one of our schools. There will likely be more than one person in the interview, for example, the department head or principal to talk about subject knowledge and pedagogy and one HR staff to answer visa and contract questions.

4. Offer. Congratulations. We are happy to discuss the compensation, benefits, tax, duties and anything further you have questions about.

5. Visa Process. After receiving your acceptance, we will help you though collecting what documents you need to start the China work visa process. We are experts in this area. If you have a question at any time, one of our staff are there to help.

6. Arrival in China. Welcome to Dipont! We have pre-determined arrival dates. We will make sure you have a hotel and somewhere to stay until you find an apartment (we support your search), make sure you know how to get around the city, see where the school is and do all we can to get you settled.

Salary Range: The gross salary range for graduates is based on the position, location, and level of responsibility. Generally, entry-level positions offer a salary from 25,000 RMB per month. Experienced teachers will earn up to 34,000RMB per month (~7,350 AUD before tax).

Compensation Benefits: In addition to the base salary, we also offer housing allowances or accommodation to help offset the cost of living, medical insurance, annual flight allowances, visa sponsorship, and assistance with relocation.

Career Opportunities: Some positions require travel, especially for positions that involve working with partner schools or programs. The company values professional development and may provide opportunities for team rotations after completing at least one contract, allowing employees to gain experience in different roles or locations.
