About Rail Projects Victoria

Rail Projects Victoria (RPV), a project group of the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority, is delivering Victoria's largest ever rail infrastructure pipeline, with more than $30 billion invested in metropolitan and regional rail projects. RPV is responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, Melbourne Airport Rail, and the Western Rail Plan including fast rail between key regional cities and Melbourne. RPV is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of the project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning.

About the Opportunity: What's Involved?

During your time with our Strategic Communications team, you will be working alongside a Strategic Communications Manager and team of professionals. You will be getting involved in a wide range of online and non-electronic communications activities, supporting all our projects or allocated to a specific project team. You will get involved in creating high-quality online content for social media and various other communications channels, analysing social media trends and assisting project teams with establishing creative ideas for online campaigns. You will have the opportunity to deliver your own projects and improve processes and systems where possible. You will participate in tailored learning sessions to further develop your personal and professional skills.  

About You

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in kickstarting their career in Communications. It would be preferred if you have strong written and verbal communication skills, display strong attention to detail and are someone who enjoys building positive working relationships. If you consider yourself to have a can-do attitude and are good at managing yourself in ambiguous situations, this could be the role for you!

To be eligible you must have completed at least 50% of your undergraduate qualification in a relevant field and be currently studying and remain enrolled during the course of the IBL Program. You also must hold Working Rights in Australia that allow you to work full-time (38hrs/wk).
